Chris Ulum, Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Ulum is the Chief Executive Officer of Plas2Fuel Corporation. Prior to joining Plas2Fuel, he worked for 10 years in the high tech industry for IBM (formerly Sequent Computer Systems) and Sun Microsystems. He held leadership roles in multiple functions including operations, forecasting, product management and custom systems integration. While at Sun, he concurrently managed 18 product lines representing approximately $4.7 billion in annual revenues. Mr. Ulum held both tactical execution responsibilities within his business unit as well as strategic new product development, with a globally distributed team and supply chain.
Mr. Ulum's career includes leadership and customer interface roles in diverse industries. He served as General Manager of a privately held wood products company, and reported to the CEO of a printing and packaging company which was the fastest growing privately held company in the state of North Carolina. He began his career as a production manager at Frito-Lay, Inc. Mr. Ulum holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Oregon State University and an MBA degree from the Duke University Fuqua School of Business.
Kevin DeWhitt, Founder, Chief Technology Officer
Mr. DeWhitt is the Chief Technology Officer of Plas2Fuel Corporation. Prior to founding Plas2Fuel, he worked for 20 years in the analytical chemistry industry for a number of independent laboratories. He was first introduced to the process of converting waste plastic materials into petrochemical products when he began working in a consultative capacity with Environmental Fuel Development (EFD) Company in December of 2000. After EFD ceased operations, Mr. DeWhitt continued to work on the concept, and is the inventor of the Pyrolytic Vacuum Chromatography (PVC) process. He has been working exclusively on perfecting the PVC process for the past three years.
Mr. DeWhitt holds two B.S. degrees in Chemistry and Physics from Oregon State University, spent an additional year studying Physics at the University of Stuttgart in Germany and returned from Germany to study Chemistry in Oregon State University's graduate degree program for one year before beginning his professional career.
Brent A. Bostwick, Vice President, Business Development
Mr. Bostwick joins Plas2Fuel Corporation as Director and Vice President of Business Development. Prior to joining Plas2Fuel Mr. Bostwick was President and Chief Executive Officer of Draper's & Damon's, Inc., a $130M specialty retailer serving the mature women's fashion market. Mr. Bostwick joined the company in 1980 and acquired one third interest in 1993. The company designs, manufactures and markets merchandise through 50 retail locations, a national catalog and e-commerce. In November 2005 Mr. Bostwick successfully negotiated the sale of a majority interest in Draper's & Damon's to Golden Gate Capital, LLC and has transitioned out of the company to pursue new interests.
In 2006 Mr. Bostwick's interest turned to the "alternative fuels" industry. Working with Inflection Point Capital, LLC he has been involved in various projects primarily focused on cellulosic ethanol technology companies. Mr. Bostwick holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business and Economics from the University of California in Santa Barbara. He is married and has two children.
Nick Smith, Director of Field Services
Mr. Smith is the Director of Field Services for Plas2Fuel Corporation. Prior to joining Plas2Fuel, he worked as a supervisor of mechanics at Interstate Wood Products Corporation. In addition to his experience as shop supervisor and his mechanical aptitude, Mr. Smith has several years of experience as a long and short-haul truck operator. His experience transporting both heavy equipment and product loads, and knowledge of logistical planning will serve Plas2Fuel Corporation well as it begins to develop its product and provide its customers with on site delivery, assembly and equipment operation functions.
Mr. Smith is a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, and served during both the Desert Storm and Desert Shield conflicts as a fuels specialist and heavy equipment operator.
